SEO Tools –The Best Of The Bunch

Different Search Engine Optimization tools hold different meanings for different web masters and blogger, and it is really difficult to compile a list of “the best SEO tools”. Still, most of the SEO requirements are generic in nature, for instance, your typical Search Engine Optimization campaign entails:
• Optimized source code
• Keyword analysis
• SEO-optimised content
• Meta tags analysis
• Search engine submissions and monitoring
• Getting quality back links

I’ll be listing here the best SEO tools you can use to handle the Search Engine Optimisation tasks mentioned above.

Source code validation
From the SEO perspective it is very important to have clean, validated markup. The two online tools that help you write validated markup are:
• The W3C Markup Validation Service
• WDG HTML Validator

Keyword analysis
It is very critical to know what are the right keywords for you. Getting tons of traffic for wrong keywords can prove to be a costly affair both in terms of lost business and bandwidth costs. Here are some tools you can use to find out what are the right tools for you:
• Keyword Discovery.com Keyword Research Tool
• Keyword Suggestion Tool
• Word Stream’s new FREE Keyword tool
• Overture Keyword Tool
• Word Tracker Keyword Service
• Google AdWords Keyword Tool
• SEO Book Keyword Suggestion Tool

Search Engine Optimised content
Although it is very hard to find a tool that writes optimised content for you, you can use some tools to gauge the keyword density of your content. Here are a few online tools that can help you check your keyword density.
• Link vendor Keyword Density Tool
• Webconfs Keyword Density Checker
• SEO Chat Keyword Density Tool

Meta tags analysis
Some say meta tags are important and some say they are no longer important. Well, why take chances. Properly using meta tags, using the right meta tags with right information in them, and using them in right manner doesn’t harm. The following tells help you analyse your meta tags.
• SEO Chat Advanced Meta Tag Generator
• Web Master Toolkit Meta Tag Generator
• Rank Request Meta Tag Analyzer

Search Engine Submissions And Monitoring
For search engine submissions and monitoring I think the best tool is hard work. Automated tools are not recommended to submit your website to various search engines and online directories. So for search engine submissions I think the best tool is you.

Link Popularity
Link popularity has become a potent SEO tool. It’s always been around in the form of those thousands of link exchange programs but now the search engines have developed more sophisticated algorithms to measure genuine link popularity. Hence the web masters and bloggers take their link popularity campaigns very seriously. Here are some online tools you can use to track your link popularity.
• Submit Express Link Popularity Check
• Web Master Tool Link Popularity Check
• Add Pro Link Popularity Check
• SEO Chat Link Popularity Check

This is going to be a constantly evolving list as I’ll be adding more links here as I come across them, so either bookmark this post or add it your favorite bookmarking website.
Also, if you have any SEO tools that you think I should check out and include in this list, please let me know.

Most Bloggers Are Lazy?

SEO Network don’t think there is something irksome in it, as long as posts are not plagiarized. Let’s be frank, some bloggers can write, and some cannot, and those who cannot, at least link to those who can. That’s why blogging is such a big part of the online social media scene; people can simply share links with their visitors without giving their personal opinions.
Personally, SEO Network don’t find such a vocation appealing, especially if you are really serious about pursuing a blogging career. There definitely has to be something unique on your blog in order to make people come again and again. If you just give links on your blog and copy/paste tidbits of others’ opinions, they’ll simply bookmark those blogs or subscribe to their RSS feeds without bothering to visit your blog.
Even if you just provide links, you need to do it on a large scale. Take for instance pop urls.com; it’s a comprehensive index of hundreds of RSS feeds updated very frequently and nobody would like to personally visit every link and save it, and then keep track of it.
Anyway, I digressed. The point is, you can be a lazy blogger if you simply wish to share interesting stuff with your visitors, but if you really want to make a mark, you need to come up with stuff that can only be found on your blog. Even if you cannot come up with something totally unique, at least express your point of view in such a manner that it’s totally SEO Network point of view.

How Can Social Networking Help Your Blog?

Social networking, SEO Network and blogging are two highly effective search engine optimization techniques. Both can produce impressive SEO results in their own right but they can also work together productively. It is possible to use social networking to help blogging to work more effectively as part of your search engine optimization campaign.
For a blog to be successful, you must regularly update it with relevant and well-written content. This will ensure visitors to your blog continuously have fresh information to read and will also help it to get the attention of the search engines. The search engine web crawlers look for new website content and for high quality and relevant material. However, another way to direct relevant traffic to your blog is by providing links to your blog in your social networking pages.
Twitter, Facebook and other websites like this can offer businesses a lot. They can help them to develop their brands within the online community and help them to achieve top rankings in the search results. They can also be used to direct those interested in your business to web pages with more detailed information about your company.
You are often limited with the amount of information you are able to provide when using social networking websites. Posts cannot go on and on and with Twitter you are limited even further. If you can provide your followers with content which attracts their attention and interest, they may want to learn more about your business. A link to your blog can be the perfect solution.
A blog can be a lot more detailed and can feature a great deal of information about your business and also about the industry you are in. Blogs are updated regularly so will feature fresh and useful information and can help others to gain a better knowledge and understanding of what you are able to offer.
If spending time and effort on creating and updating a blog as part of your search engine optimization campaign, you have to drive as much traffic to your blog as possible. The more readers you have, the greater the potential for visitor numbers to your site to increase and the greater your potential for a sales growth too.
You should be using any effective methods you can to direct those interested in your company to your web pages and doing so through your social networking pages can be highly productive. Don’t continuously direct readers of your posts within the social networking communities to your blog or website but when appropriate, include a link they may find useful if wanting to know more on the subject.
Blogging and social networking can work well separately but can also work well together.

How is the Social Search Engine relevant to SEO?

It is obviously important because we see how more and more each day search is turning into something more personal as search engines seek ways to improve the relevance of search results. What this means is that we (SEOs) should encourage clients to improve their online network and to start seriously considering or putting more effort in the social media efforts.

Here are a few tips on what you should immediately do to get the most of Google Social Search (remember this may be in experimental mode now but you want to reap the benefits even before it’s fully released):

Get a Google Account and update your public Google profile – Add links to your facebook, twitter, myspace, jaiku, blog, flickr, and whatever other links you want to appear when contacts (hopefully your clients or the friends of your friends, who can turn into clients) search for terms that appear as content in those links.

Get more active in social network sites – Been neglecting your social site accounts? Start adding friends and posting updates WITH KEYWORDS. Don’t get spammy but think of real updates where you can insert a keyword or two. Oh and don’t forget to set your profile on public.

Get reviewed - Find ways to get reviewed by real people on industry-specific sites or even on their websites. Remember the real aim for many clients is conversion and not just traffic. For this word of mouth is still the best way to go. In search terms social search and reviews from people in your social circle is still equivalent to word of mouth. The more people review your site/product/service the more chances you get to appear on the social search results of their contacts.
